Albert Grande. I am the web designer and responsible for all content.
When your site was built?
The site was originally built on 6/99. At the time we used a "Free" web hosting
company.
As our traffic and public exposure increased, it became clear that we needed to register
our
domain name and find a web hosting company. We launched "pizzatherapy.com"
on 2/00.
The site has greatly expanded since 6/99. We regularly update our content by adding new
recipes and features.
Who is your target audience or what is your target industry?
We are a site for anyone who loves pizza and Italian food. In addition to pizza and Italian
recipes we feature a Pizza
Therapy Forum, a Pizza Poll, a
Newsletter (Pizza News)
and a
section where our visitors can nominate "Best Pizza in
the World". We encourage
feedback from our visitors. Our visitors are the one's who have made us successful.

Any other sites?
None at this time.
Future goals or plans for pizzatherapy.com?
Our goal is to continue to spread the word about the joys of making pizza. Our slogan
"Pizza on Earth, Good Will to All!" seems to sum up the essence
of pizzatherapy.com.
Making pizza can be fun, but also an event to be shared with families and friends. Getting
people involved in the pizza making process is what it is all about. We want to encourage
everyone to share in the joy of making pizza! We eventually, want to become a "Pizza
Portal" for all things pizza, on the Internet.
A short term goal is to concentrate on "Pizza Demonstrations" for businesses,
clubs and
non-profit groups. We will be having "Pizza Making Seminars" which will be open
to the
public. What started out as a business only on the Internet, will turn into a "brick
and
mortar" enterprise through our "Pizza Demos". We have been approached by
entrepreneurs about opening a "Pizza Therapy Restaurant", however this remains
in the
discussion stage.
We are also planning to offer "pizzatherapy.com"
items aprons, hats
and oven mitts. These items would be branded with our logo and sold through our web site
as well as at our "Pizza Demonstrations". We have had numerous requests for
these items
already.
Are you connected to any corporate (local or national) partners?
We recently signed a one-year contract with "Fleischmann's Yeast"
as a corporate
sponsor. Being affiliated with this company has given us quite a bit of credibility. We
are
currently negotiating with other potential corporate sponsors.
Would you like to share any other important information with our readers?
I am amazed at the power of the Internet. It has really leveled the playing field. Think
about it, a web site about making pizza, based in Hawaii, can compete with other companies
in a global arena.
I feel that I have been extremely fortunate to be able to turn my passion for making pizza
into a business idea. I am also having a lot of fun in the process.
